As an advanced reader, I had the chance to read the first four books of this series pre-publication. All I can say is, run with it! While the books start in one direction (Freya), they blossom into a great series with a great supporting cast. AND...the plots are incredible. They are masterfully woven. You will be unraveling the strings the entire way through and be so impressed at how Cartwright puts it all together. Completely worth your time to enjoy this new series.
